The Diploma in Health Care Management is a 3 years programme that provides you with comprehensive coverage of healthcare management needs within the industry.As graduates from the Health Care Management Diploma, look forward to work in a doctor’s office, clinic or hospital administration managing the day-to-day processing of paperwork and administration duties. We aim to groom you with the knowledge, personal skills and business leadership to contribute effectively to the management of health services and the planning and attainment of goals and objectives.

The program encompasses both medical and management fields. The program is built over four (4) major areas with a capstone applied practicum (clinical placement) during the last semester that will allow you to put your knowledge to practice in a community and hospital administrative setting in The Management Process, Health Policy and Planning, Behavioral Science / Allied Science, Basic Science, Applied Practicum (Clinical Placement) – Hospital and Community setting.

Exemption

Prior to the start of any year of a course (including prior to the start of year 1 at the application stage), a student may request exemption from one or more specific taught modules during the year on the basis of previous qualifications or experience.

Exemptions will only be considered where the relevant course regulations allow for module exemptions to be granted.

Students with relevant Diploma or equivalent qualifications will be exempted from academic year 1 and 2 depending on their qualifications, subjects to approval from the Examination Board.

Assessment

Assessment is through a mix of examination, coursework and essays, plus other oral and activity-based assignments. Coursework includes problem-solving activities, consultancy projects, presentations and individual and group reports.

Awards

Graduates will be awarded the MQA(Malaysian Qualifications Agency) accredited Diploma after completion of all three academic years.

SPM or equivalent with 5 credits in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics, 1 science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/ Applied Science) & any other one subjects; OR GCE/O Level or equivalent with 5 Grade C in English, Maths, 1 science subject (Biology /Physics/Chemistry/General Science/ Applied Science) & any other 2 subjects; OR UEC or equivalent with 5 Grade C in English, Maths, 1 science subject (Biology/Physics/ Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science) & any other 2 subjects; OR Certificate Level 3 (MQF) related to Health Sciences with minimum CGPA 2.75.

As graduates of the Diploma in Health Care Management, you oversee and manage elements involved in the health care system.
